Tough as they come though
Let’s be real. How many individuals do you know that could have a different boss every couple hours, never eat lunch, and never complain about a potty break? Exactly. Hairstylists are a certain breed and I’m honored that I fell into it. I didn’t actually fall, I always knew that I wanted to help people. Just so happened, I landed on using beauty as my tool. It is such the universal language. Fluent in this language, when the virus became a pandemic, not only my concern for at-risk people grew but for my clients and I. Unselfishly, I need them. They just aren’t a report I have to write, they are my life source in every way imaginable.
Good thing hairstylists are tough. I don’t doubt we will be better after this.
While we have this extra time, exhaust your online resources the same way we would have been exhausting our feet and hands. Don’t grow complacent or when the shit settles we will all go crazy. (or crazier) Lets try to do our best to stay motivated. We’re tough, remember?
- join online groups about professional hair care
- start working out at home and gradually increase the minutes
- jot down all your ideas that you so often forget to document
- feed your other talents you sometimes neglect
- stay professional, in all the ways.
